heres my top:
1 Montana
2 Elway/Farve
3 Marino
4 Brady (although now his rings are suspect)/Manning (by the end of his career will probably be #1)
5 Tarkington/Unitas/Williams/Stabler - all 4 changed the game...
Tarkington... that's the last one I was trying to think of. Don't forget that Favre blew more than a few big games with a bunch of picks.

For those who think Favre isn't a top 5. Also keep in mind he started a record 253 straight regular season games. I think Peyton is in second at around 150 so Peyton only has 6 more years to go injury free. The bottom 3 surprised me...his TD to INT ration isn't too bad when comparing to players that were mentioned above.
Player-TD-INT
Favre-442-288
Marino-420-252
Elway-300-226
Montana-273-139
Bradshaw-212-210 (ouch)
Aikman-165-141
Theisman-160-138

Let's also not forget that he passed for a lot of those yards and touchdowns playing against the lowly lions twice a year. That definitely deserves an asterisk if you ask me.

Every division every year has a poor team. By your logic the Randy Moss and Tom Brady TD records this year should be astrisked because they played the Dolphins and Jets 4 times.

i think the retirement had somethign do with the packers not getting him the big name support he wanted...like moss before start of last season....he did really well this season with some young players that are going to be even better in the future BUT there was no one on the squad that would require a change in coverage farve was just exceptional this year not forcing as many throws to 1 particular WR and distributing the ball to the open man which gave him more confidence in the younger players that under pressure they could come up with a catch unlike years past he would try to distribute the ball and it get dropped so he tried to force more throws into tighter spaces...great QB and the game is going to miss him...arron rogers will fill in quite nicely though

well then take into consideration that Montana played the Rams, Cardinals, Falcons and Saints...
Marino in the 80's played the Bills, Jets, Colts and Patriots...
Elway probably had it the toughest then so does that make him a clear cut #1???

I honestly have no defense here or on the field .

But then your boys wouldn't have a ring had they not paid gannon a bonus

did you know that Gannon tried to commit suicide after that Super Bowl...
but luckily, he couldnt because a Bucs defender kept intercepting the bullets!!!

I'd just like to give "Kudos" to Joe Willie Namath ..... Off topic but he is responsible for the AFL and NFL becomeing one league. Yeah I know, no records ... but a trend setter? .... YES!
Yes ... I'm a Jets fan!

Aikman!
I'm sad that brett is gone. He was fun to watch, but his shoot from the hip quarterbacking will miss some times.

I am not a cheese head but I did enjoy watching him play.I never see a QB that had so much fun playing the game, and is just a normal guy off the feild. He didn't need all the bling and other stuff that todays athlete get into.I think Rogers will be injury prone since farve never went out for injury very often.

^^ Obviously Im not a Packers fan but I enjoyed Favre on and off the field.
Rodgers will be fine, and the Pack is confident in him.
What about Otto Graham? (had to do it)

Aikman??? youre either kidding or a Cowboy fan... going 1 - 15 in a season, NEVER having a QB rating over 100.0, only one season with 20+ TD passes, having as many seasons with more/equal INTs than TDs and losing 6 play off games doesnt count???
but i would guess the 3 rings wipes all of that out... he in my opinion was not a HOF QB... he was surrounded by greatness which in turn padded his stats...
