I know this is a old old thread now but just wondering if you found anything out on these things? do you still see them at all? the reason im asking is i see somethign very similer to what you have pictured in my tank. they stay in between the rocks in shaded areas only see them when i put the flashlight on them so was just curious to see if you found anything out.

NO...I am guessing it was some kind of larvae...they all disappeared and I have not seen anything like it since....
