The cleanup was done last night.....The neighbors probably didn't enjoy the snow blower going at midnight, but they will have to deal with it!!!!!!!
My parents, and brother and sister in law are still without power today, but weather is actually nice.....Out in my shorts again, and took the bike out for a spin!!!!!!! Whacky weather!!!!!!

I know... shawn... I couldn't agree more. I had a wonderful run with my dog in the morning! And then our friends came over to use our shower because they're still without electricity.

I absolutely LOVE snow! I can't imagine living somewhere when where it doesn't snow. Before Denver I lived in NYC....I have to say, the snow in Colorado is soooooo much better than it was in the North East.
MX#28 - Where in Colorado did you get 2 feet?!? We got a measly 4-6 inches (at the most!) I was hoping for a little more.

I was very disappointed with the storm. All I got was a frozen car that made me 11 minutes late for work.

Travelerjp98 - How do your fishies survive a power outage?!? Do you have to use a generator?
No, I don't use a generator... even though I'm getting one soon!!!
My fish are OK with power outages. If the outage is short, then there is no problem. Problems start to arrive when the power is out for more than 10 hrs, then the temp. starts to plummet.
Problems also happen if the power goes our directly after I feed the fish, too... then uneaten fish food gets all over the place... not pretty.

I heard we should be getting some more snow in the mountains and Denver on Tuesday night/Wednesday. It won't be much in Denver ( I think only 8 inches or so). It reached 65 yesterday and this afternoon....the weather here is nuts! The snow you guys got in the North East was crazy....I wonder if it's a sign of how rough this coming winter will be?

I agree with you 100%...I absolutely love cold snowy winters. I probably wouldn't be that crazy about them if I had to commute to work really far, but my commute is only 5 minutes. I've only been in Colorado for a year now, and if last winter was representative of most winters in Denver than I'm a little 'underwhelmed' as far as the quantity of snow we get. The quality of snow here is fantastic though....
MX#28 Are then any LFS in Boulder?? I could only find one in Denver and although I like it, it'd be great to have more choices. I won't even bother going the big chain stores for livestock. I've heard to many scary stories and don't want to take a chance.

Aqua-imports in Boulder is a great store. It isn't huge, but they have nice corals, good ethics, and are very good about ordering just about anything. Ask for Mike.
I haven't been to the Denver stores in a while, but check around Denver a bit more - there used to be at least 5 or 6 LFS in the area...

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not sure what happened to all of the LFS in Denver, but when I did a google search I found out there are actually two in Denver (one that I've been going to and another that I hadn't heard of before). Then I found another place that only does tank maintenance. I'll definitely take a trip up to Boulder and visit the place you mentioned. I haven't actually been to Boulder yet, and I'm sure it'll be beautiful after the snow we get tomorrow!

Aquamart 3255 S. Wadsworth Blvd.
Elite Reef 8410 Wadsworth Arvada
Keys Island
I've been to all of those and they are good. There are several more, Todds Topical Fish, Neptunes, Reef and Pond, Fish Palace that are supposed to be OK but I haven't personally been there.. There are a whole lot of local fraggers from Fort Collins to The Springs that will hook you up too.

Well... these are pics from last Sunday's morning jog with my dog:
well... first... lol... she didn't want to go:

After we got out of the house.... LOVELY (not).. a branch did end up falling on the one car in our driveway:
The hood was all scratched up.

And.. a giant tree limb did fall in our yard... it's about 20 feet long:

More limbs falling off of the trees:

Haha... at least my dog was happy!:

The snow did look pretty!:

And more pics of the dog enjoying the snow:
