I have a cleaner pair that breeds, but all the offspring are quickly filtered. My corals and fish have a good time eating what does not get filtered. Even the shrimps themselves get into the action.
The young are extremely difficult to raise. I haven't heard of too many people sucessfully raising the fry.
Think of it this way- It's a free meal

Maybe u can try putting the shrimp in to few gal tank w/ a power head, and wait until shrimp leaves her eggs free, after that put the shrimp back to the tank, and try to give fries something like plankton, also its better putting a LR in that tank
As i know, some shrimp (shrimps which likes to group like cleaners, fires, ghost shrimps, papermints...) dont have a --- and if there are 2 shrimps, they can both have eggs and fertelised, but if there is one that cant be... could be wrong-not sure
Ozadars is 100% correct, they are hermaphroditic.
Do a search on "Bug of the Week", I did a post about Peppermint Shrimp.
I've raised larvae but it's a LOT of effort. If someone wants to reimburse me for my salary I'll gladly spend the required time raining Shrimp Larvae.
