Finish that thing??? Unless you're talking about singing the praises of the crim-dog then I'm not sure what you're referring to.

Ever feel like you're the only one who doesn't get the joke?
Mimz... part of me thinks that I should know exactly what your talking about and I don't because I'm an idiot who suffered severe physical scarring tonight. The other part of me thinks you are being the meanest person ever and making me feel dumb. :notsure: Either way, let's dance...

I'm not talking about anything that exists. You're just supposed to nod knowingly and say "Yeah. That thing. Now get to it!" or something like that. Sheesh. Get with it, sistah!
oh. And I TOTALY don't do

First of all, that
was intended in a totally respectful, innocent and playful manner. The tattoo is my daughter's hebrew name printed vertically down my side/back. It only took about 1/2 hour once the image was on paper and put on a stencil. I also have another on my arm that is a tribal design. I'm not getting anymore... better not have any more kids.

Nice job...
Her english name's Brooklyn. Not a translation of her hebrew name. Her hebrew name is the female translation of the name "Mark" (my late father's name).

uh... Crimzy, I think you're going to need to clarify that. I must be missing something. Gavriella is the femenine of Gabriel, or Gabe for short.
What was Mark's full name, and how did you arrive at Gavriella?

No joke... Mark translates to Gavriella in hebrew. Don't ask me to explain it but it's true.

OK...I love these... lemme take a stab and see if I can come up with the connection...
Mark itself is not a BIBLICAL Jewish name, but it IS a Roman/Greek name, and we happened to have spent a good long time amongst these people, so we assimilated it.
Now...since "Mark" comes from the name "Marcus," which was the name of the Roman god of war...we begin to draw connections. How?
Because "Gavriella" can be broken down into two parts;
Gavri/ella.
The first part, "Gavr" has roots in the word "Gevurah," which is the Hebrew word for "Strength."
The second part, "Ellah," encapsulates the word "E-l" which is one of the names of G-d.
Soooooo, Gavriella means "Strength of G-d," or "G-d is strong."
So here we have the connection; Mark is the god of war, and your daughter bears the name of a strong G-d.
Did I get it? Did I?? HUH HUH HUH????? :jumping:

Wow... that was really impressive... and sure, you get a prize if you want one... I guess. :notsure: Actually I went about finding the name in a different way. Checked a translation website and then verified the translation with 2 different rabbis.
