feed the hammers every couple of days, something small and meaty. Do you ever use anything like rotofeast or the like? Its food for corals and filter feeders. I use it about twice a week. And wow another depressing post
sorry to hear about the dog
.

is he being squished by rocks or something else. I dont have alot of experiance with them. I just got one a couple of weeks ago and his crown is smaller now that hes been in my tank awhile. I have to guess that its because of the improved flow not so hard to get a meal now. maybe same problem with yours but in reverse? zoo plankton should be fine. and no more depressing posts

Ok Hammer coral has brown Jelly disease!! YAY!!!

Im sooooo mad.... basically I've wasted over 100 in 1 week from this dumb LFS.... i need a drink!

yep took the whole peice
I never knew how fast something like this could take a coral
36 hours!!!
I did find something weird on one branch tho
it was a tiny burr hole and you could look inside of the branch... kinda looked hollow could a bug have gotten in there?
oh well... i cant say i've learned a lesson from this one cuz i dont think i did anything wrong

WELL my tank has survived!
The fish are still in hypo and were showing no signs of the disease so were going to be back in the tank soon until yest when i noticed ick on all 3 fish and lots of flashing!
oh well more hypo than expected so they will hopefully be back in the tank by June 5 (they have to be im going away!)
I did buy some frogspawn and clove polyps from a seller on this site Mr. X
and the frags are AWESOME... It helped that he lives so close so no shipping
the frogspawn was blooming in the bag! It plumped up in my tank within ten mins! Awesome seller!
Im waiting for the clove polyps to open but they dont seem happy.
Suring the night they got knocked down and were face first in the sand
I will wait to see if they open and when they do I'll post picks of it all
And i put the rocks back into they U shaped with some modifications!
I'll post pics soon!

Looks good !! nice frogspawn frag.... Dont worry about the cloves they should be ok. I bought a frag of pom pom xenia that got shipped to me and all of the polyps but 2 tiny ones had fallen off. 3 weeks later the entire piece is covered in new polyps.
2 days ago I did a water change in my tank and the end that was in the tank was too close to my frogspawn frag, it got caught in the syphon and about 50% of its tenticles were torn off. Today it is fully inflated and looking happy, even without 50% of its tenticles...

haha nice!!
Im really surprised how big it got today
so clove polyps need mod to strong lighting and a decent water flow right?
Im having a little trouble picking a spot!

Yep higher up on your LR and indirect flow is best.

Here is another FTS
the clove polyps are open and happy
the frogspawn is happier yet!
the only being in the tank not happy anymore is the red algae
I dont know how much longer im going to have it

I was cleaning the tank and noticed it was pretty pale and a couple of leave fell off... i looked at the base and found a lot of brown leaves and sand
I cleared all of that out so hopefully it sticks around
