Yeah...I want some of those yellow/green zoas!!!!!!!

Thanks, I dont even know what they are. They were sold to me as yellow eagle eyes but they look more like yellow brick roads on Zoaid. I do have to say they are definetly some of my favorites.

Here is a pic of under the tank from last night. I need to clean it LOL. My theory on reefkeeping is to keep it simple. I only run a skimmer, UV and a refugium. I didn't run the UV untill I was fighting the bryopsis just to try and keep it from spreading so bad after manual removal.
I tried to build this system as bulletproof as I could. I made all the heating, cooling and water circulation redundant. I also don't run reactors for the same reason. At this stage of the game most of the system crashes I see are from systems failure. I don't want to be the guy who lost thousands of dollars in livestock because a switch went bad or a bad regulator etc. I used an original reefkeeper to do most of this. I also have all my circulation ran on two different cuircuits so if one trips I'm still moving plenty of water.
As far as dosing I just use standard two part. I dose magnesium if needed and I add amino's occasionally. I use reef crystals salt with RODI and perform a water 20 gallon water change once a week.

I spent the day getting my frag tank back online. I had it pulled down while I was raising my magnesium. I also needed it to hold some of my bigger pieces while I'm moving some rock around. Time to start making some frags again

I added around 40-50 lbs of rock today and did some reaquascaping. Needless to say I made a bunch of unintensional frags LOL. I'm dropping my magnesium to around 1600 and going to hold it there a couple more weeks. I'll try to get some pics of the new rockwork tomorrow.

Here are some pics with the new rock added. I adjusted the right side so I had more shelves instead of a vertical face. Now the new rock needs to color up. I also got the fish to pose for some pics.

Well since I got my frag tank back online I couldn't help myself. I ended up getting out the bone cutters.

Hey jetskiking,
I just looked through your thread. Nice tank. I too like the rock work.
Looks like you got plenty of frags. How big will you grow them before they go to sale?

Thanks, I usually let them heal for a couple weeks and start encrusting on the plug before I trade and sell.

You just couldn't help making us all DROOL?!!!!

LOL thanks, Its funny how we are never satisfied with our tanks though. I still have more plans. I think I'm gonna DIY an LED fixture for the frag tank.

Nice. So once fragged the turn around isn't to bad.
Is the frag tank plumbed into the big tank? I thought that is what I read. I don't see any pipes though.
Oh wait, maybe I do. Up in the top corners.

Yes, the frag tank is plumbed into the big system. I run a 1 inch external durso on it draining into my skimmer compartment I run a 3/4 inch return on it plumbed through my UV.
I am actually in the process of designing a frag room in my basement so I can raise my softies, LPS and SPS in seperate systems and not in a mixed reef environment. Its on the slow track but will eventually happen
