Well....I had one large aptasia in my 225G
I tried boiling water...NOPE
I used lemon juice....1st time the aptasia disappeared for 2 weeks (YAY I thought) NOPE...came back
I used Lemon Juice again....aptasia disappeared for 2 days...CAME BACK
I ordered Joes Juice....Have not seen the aptasia since
the funny thing is the rock crevice it was in....even the hair algae in that area has disappeared

GO JOES JUICE.....

Hmmmmmmmmm.......maybe you are on to something. Try some on another patch of hair algae. You may have discovered the new Nair!!!!!!

Not anymore than doing multiple aiptasia. Just do a small amount to see what happens to the algae.

OK....I put it in a few different spots that I could reach....I'll let you know what happens...Since HA doesn't retract (LOL) I have to wait and see if it dies in those spots or not

Not gonna mean much as you can't go painting all you HA with JJ. But an experiment non-the-less!!!!

Nothing surprising about it. Joes juice is basically a kalk slurry. People have been using Kalk for a while on some nuisance algaes with success

Funny how I have never read about this....I know you can't use a lot..nor would you want to...but...every little clean spot helps

GO MEOWZER! congrats. if i remember correctly you had quite a battle with aiptasia, no? if not, good job at (hopefully) avoiding one!

I had to google FTW. You either mean "for the win" and are praising Joe's Juice or you are an anti-authoritarian anarchist saying "F--- the world." I'm going with the second definition.

you had quite a battle, or one aiptasia?
i thought FTW meant the same thing louti. even now, everytime i see it i have to take a second to think about 'for the win'.

I had 1 or 2 appies too.
This stuff got rid of them right away.
plus it came with a syringe with a green pointy tip applicator.
nice little pack. kept the syringe, never know when your going to use it!
dries out pretty quick tho. and those clumps are annoying!
Not to mention my name is Joe, it was a win-win!
