just hold the food in your hand and let the shrimp come to you the might be scared at first but they learn quick now every time i put my hand in my tank all my shrimp go after it even without food and believe it or not but i have actually had my peppermint shrimp clean my hand just like a scarlet cleaner will do
Or you can just try and feed him by making sure some food drifts his way every time you do feed. Eventually he will be so inquisitive any time something comes in the water he'll come out. They will clean your hand off So will cleaner wrasses if you can get one to live
I have set up a 10gal peppermint shrimp tank...8 residents so far. They are awesome to watch scramble around for food when I drop in some flakes. One female is carrying eggs now
I agree. my 3 peppermints are not as friendly with my hands, but thats because everytime i put my hand in, my cleaner shrimp is the first at it, even when i dont have any food for it.
