just how dirty can you get?

MY skimmer is by aquatic systems. I paid $189 bucks from my LFS for it. It seems to work pretty good for me so far, ive had it for about a year now. Heres another pic after one weeks worth of sludge.

Well cleaned it out and re-adjusted it yester day, and it's really working good now. Ya think?

I have no complaints, and nothing to compare it to. It is easy to clean, and it's not the loudest thing on my setup. Silent would be better.
People generally have a bad opinion of the prizm, but it seems to work for me.
