Well the hardest part was getting into the Palace at Auburn Hills after hours. Once in finding a place in the locker room for the Automotion cheerleaders was a piece of cake!
Can't show the pictures here but had a few of my friends over to watch what I did get. Their reaction...............

WooHooo, my lion took the frozen ghost shrimp off the stick without any hesitation. Thanks for the tip, I didn't even have to wiggle the thing. Did you see there are another male and female up right now, the male doesn't look as good but the female looks a little better. Oh well, I am happy with what I have going. Here is a pic. He wasn't flaring by the time I got the camera, hopefully I will catch him doing that soon for my avatar picture. I had the light off for a couple hours and when I turned it on, he was flaring. He looks healthy. I'll see if he is interested in any food later tonight. He sure has big eyes, do you think the brightness of the 10 gallon is going to be a problem? 150 watt mh 15000k xm bulb. I have a screen over the top to cut the light back a bit.

He's going to be BEAUTIFUL!!
The fish on there will brighten up.... even to look like yours.
He really is amazing and if he was flaring, it would be just like your avatar.
He'll brighten up to look bright red like in the picture.
Gosh he's fat!

The good news is, I cut a nice little chunk of raw prawn and put it on my feeding stick and he nailed it over and over again till he got it off and ate it. So this may be real real easy, I hope the female is the same. Also, update, I just had to see if the lion would take a piece of prawn from the feeding stick since he took the frozen ghost shrimp so easily and he did, it was awesome. Finally, some success. But that wasp fish looks way to big in the ten gallon. How long do you think I should leave it in there?

Depends on how long you like to QT for. If he's already taking frozen he might interfere with the training of the little female. At first it may be okay, but as he gets braver, he might be to feeding aggressive if she doesn't switch as easily.
Sometimes it only takes them eating dead once to convert.... other times they may flip-flop back and forth.

Ok, thanks, I will post pics once I get her acclimated tomorrow. Tomorrow I also get a shipment of 100 ghost shrimp. I should probably freeze most of them right away to avoid any die off?? I can also try injecting them with selcon after I freeze them. What do you think. I am new to the whole fish that you have to feed live food thing. But I am loving it. It adds a little challenge/reward to the hobby.

I inject everything into my shrimp. I think the selcon was too thick, if I remember correctly. But don't do any of this yet. They added smell can turn them off. I get mine, let them empty themselves, feed them different foods and put them in coloured containers in the freezer so I know who has what supplement. It's a great way of getting vitamins into the little ones even after they have started taking frozen foods. Don't inject anything until after they frozen and thawed. No need to degrade the vitamin unnecessarily. When you thaw them, wipe off the extra water and let them dry a little bit, they will hold the injected vitamins better.

So I woke up today to 2 inches of snow and snowing, and the airport shut down, so my packages were stuck over an hour away, all the fedex and ups drivers had to go over the hill and pick them up. The snow is still on the ground but I was able to pick up my fish a little after noon. She is doing great and eating already. She is less than half his size but no aggression what-so-ever between the two of them, they have just been sitting within about an inch of each other. We narrowly averted a catastrophe this morning. Last night after the lights went out in the 10, my wife unplugged all the pumps and power-heads to feed the corals. She forgot to turn them back on and this morning she wakes me up bawling at 6:30 "I killed the fish" so I freaked out went down stairs and sure enough, the male red fin was stuck to the size of the power-head looking dead. I was miffed, I touched him with the net and he burst into life thrashing about. Thank goodness he pulled through and is back to normal this evening. Hopefully it didn't shave years off his life. It has just been one of those days. My brother-in-law ended up snowed in here and he is going through a bad separation..... trying to take care of my new fish and everything... I had no time for pictures and everything. So I will put in some pictures tomorrow. Good news is the zebra lion is accepting anything I give him on a stick today and I was able to release him and he is still eating chunks of jumbo prawn on a stick. So now I will work on fortifying some of the foods I give him and keep them healthy and looking good. I will update as soon as I get the chance with pictures. Thanks in particular to Cranberry, heaven sent for aggressive fish and newbies with them. Hopefully your knowledge and love of the animals spreads so these fish no longer die in uneducated aquarists tanks. I am sure sax man is pretty great too, but I have received most of my help from the Cran.

Oh, did I mention I turned 30 today, oh well, I am just glad I don't celebrate my birthday, but 30 does feel especially old.

No need for thanks... I'm just talking about my fish. Saxman isn't allowed to post here TOO much. We are always so entangled in each others lives, we like to give each other a little space. We have "our" forums and then I have "mine" and he has "his". SWF is mine.

Holy crap, I just realized what namxas stands for. I always tried to figure out what it stood for, I feel dumb.
Jason, those are some sweet red fins!!! I hope to have a pair some day. Good luck with them.

The picture he uses gives him away, It took me a while to realize who seahorsedreams was. He dwarfs her right now and she has been pretty much staying in an area of the tank where I can't get pictures or see her very well, and he can not get to close where she is at. But one night they were both hanging out next to each other for a while. Both of them are eating, but it is hard to feed her because she has a very small mouth and doesn't strike very hard. Very beautiful fish though. I am very happy with them. Can't wait till they can go in the 90.

I consider myself a smart person... but I didn't even pick up on the connection until right now.... and your name is exactly the same. O.O
Jason... what are some of your alternative names?
He won't attack her or anything. Ours was just a butt at food time sometimes. I can't wait to see how big yours will get.

GBreefJay, Fade2Blk, there are others I forget, but I doubt you would recognize me because I have mostly been a lurker until I found this forum and I just liked visiting with the people on here. But I have been reading on them for years with minimal interaction. I also have had several different email accounts and have had a lot of lost contacts, passwords, and logins. Especially since the hard drive went out on my last computer and I used to have everything automatically login. I usually don't use the same stuff for each site for security reasons. I have mostly been an advocate of reading and letting more experienced persons answer questions but this forum seemed like a more tight nit group I wanted to be a part of. So many experts on -- and others. I also liked this format before...........

Also, the more anonymous I am the more secure I feel for some reason. Being recognizable kind of freaks me out.

Well here is the nite time pic I took with them under moonlight. It is a terrible picture but you can see their size difference.
