i saw that there was a 2x40w current but i dont have the money for that. i found out the other one was made by catalina. it seems like a good deal, but if the current 40w is gonna be enough for LPS, zoas, and soft corals then its fine with me.

it sure is fine with LPS and etc except sps.
but remember just cause you have those lights doesnt mean you can keep lps already. you have to have your water quality good for them

yeh, im somewhat of an experienced hobbyist. I used to have a 55g reef about 8 years ago and kind of lost interest after my whole tank was destroyed by red slime. i slavaged what i had left and put it into a 10g about a year and a half ago. I got 'hardy' fishes, but they died too. dont know what was going on but my tank had no spike when they died. I'm still using the bakpak from my 55g along with the LR and LS. I will start my own thread very soon. sorry to hijack :p

Going to get some new corals 2morro! Well maybe.
New shipment of bali hard and soft corals. Does anyone know any good corals I can keep from there?
Also I might buy a yellow clown goby to go with the green, they are on sale for $7, will they fight? Or is it a bad idea.

---- eh! Does that mean my green clown goby will kill sps? Wait I cant even have sps under my lights anyways no?
Well anyways I went to big als to scope everything out, this is wat id like to purchase.
6 line (do they jump?) Still want to wait tillthey go on sale since there $40.
Pink Carnation coral (the one at big als is a nice size but for some reason its growing downwards? Do they grow like this or is soemthing wrong?)
Pulsing xenia frag(this is a forsure, I want to put it near my dying favia)
Multi rock of shrooms ( dont really know if i want this)
purple ric. (still kind of small so i dont know if i want this either)
Torch coral (I think I want to put this next to my FS)
GSP (to get it to start growing on my back glass.)
I only want 2 or 3 out of these corals depending on price. Help me choose what I should get next!!!!!!
I will be going 2morro to ge tthem.

Why wouldnt you?? They are from the ame family lol. They have the same stinging abilities so i think they are immune to eachother. It wont be right right next to the FS but pretty close.
Other than the gsp, xenia what else should I get? I really like the pink carnation coral. But I dont like how its growing downwards in the store.

IDK about the torch...ask an expert (Spanko) lol..I just thought that you can't put those things too close....warfare or something like that
If you don't like the way the pink carnation is growing in the store don't get it...
how small is the purple ric? I like rics and I am trying to get a few diff colors in my tanks

The purple rioc is the same size as my orange ric, maybe less than an inch across. It looks the exact same as the orange also, two heads for $24 or soemthing like that.
I read that carnation corals are impossible to keep alivce in a home aquarium so thats crossed out. Its also growing downwards b.c it doesnt like light so its trying to get away from it I guess.
Ill pm henry and ask about the torch but im pretty sure they can be kept next to eachother.

For the gsp should I acctually take it off the rock and glue it to the glass? Or should I just put the rock near the glass and le --- do it itself? I might not have enough room for the whole rock in my tank. ITS $45 at the stroe kindof pricy for a fast growing coral!
