I bought a magdrive 9 for my overflow set up on my 150. I have 2 1inch bulkeads on my overflow and 1 return, works really well, quiet and doesn't heat up the water. I heard mixed reviews but I am glad I went with it.
It is about 1100-1200 GPH after the head is taken into consideration.

Is that pump in your sump? Also what are bulkheads? Are those the tubes in the overflow that bring the water into the sump?

if you want to save some money id look into a mag-18, which you would have to "T" off, or two mag-7's. do you have any drawings of your canopy plan?

I think I am just going to go with the basic canopy design with the entire top lifting up. I am not sure how I would attach the light fixture to the top of the canopy. For the pumps would 1 1200gph mag-drive be too much for the overflows? I have a megaflow tank made by all-glass aquariums and on their website it says that each overflow can handle 600gph. If I T off the pump will the 1200gph divide between the 2 overflows?

you're probably going to loose about 200 gph total by pumping the water up the few feet from the sump to the tank. i have a megaflow on my tank, and im running a mag-7 (700 gph), but its really only putting around 600 gph back into the tank, so the drain/ return is equal. id try the mag-18 (1800 gph, so it will probably be putting back 1600 gph) unless someone else has any reccomendations.

Whoops sorry, I meant to say I have the mag drive 18. I used it externally to keep the heat down, but it is submersable.

So will 2 mag-7s fit in my sump? Are they loud? I also have an RO question. I ordered the Coralife Pure-flo II and it came in today. I started using it so I can do a big water change on my freshwater tank. My question is does the RO unit have to be connected to the faucet/hose or whatever 24/7? Or can I store it under my tank when I am not using it? Also how hard should the water be coming out of the RO water tube and the waste water tube? When I started the RO water was coming out at a very fast rate and the waste water was a fast trickle. Now the RO water is about the same as the waste water, just a very fast drip. Is this normal?

two mag-7s will probably fit, they arent very big. mags are pretty quiet pumps, but vibrate a lot if they're running against something. sorry, cant help you about the RO unit.

heres the jist of it. theres a "rail" inside sits on top of the tank, and the lighting fixture sits on top of the rail and easily slides back and forth. two doors in the front with stained-glass inserts, and a door on top. has to be restained...

It's enough for my 125g tank.
Love them!
Edit: That's with my two return lines that I have a "Y" split in each, so lots of flow in my tank.
