one chromis doesn't look too good...and then the Stingray tried to eat it
I am hoping the ray was only seeing a hurt fish, and would not attempt to eat a healthy one....although I do not believe it could catch a healthy one
WELLLLL...As soon as Christmas is over...these damsels are toast...I mean it!!!!! I am taking my first Full free day...and speninding it trying to trap these guys.

Meowzer, have you heard of the PVC tube trap? You take a 2 or 3 inch pvc tube, cap it on the bottom, and drill a whole bunch of smallish sieve holes in the top half of the tube. Cut the tube so it's about 1/2 the height of your tank, more or less. Take a monofilament fishing line and tie it to some of the holes in the top half of the tube so you can jerk the assembly out when needed. Place the tube in your tank so the open end is facing up or at an upward angle. Fish love to find and hide in little "caves". Add a little food to encourage them to explore the new tube. When you see one swim in, jerk the line and get the tube rim up above water level. The sieve holes allow the water to drain, and also allow you to yank the tube out of the water faster than the 2-liter bottle trick.
This is kind of similar to the soda bottle trick, but apparently fish are more likely to hide in the opaque tube than the clear soda bottle, and the method of removal is faster. Just be prepared to keep the new PVC tube in the tank for a few days before they get used to it.
