Not a chance . The ref let it go a few hits too many . Kimbo was out when he hit the mat. He was stiff as a board . When the ref stopped it and got in the middle . Kimbo tried to grab him .
He even asked the reff "I got knocked out "? thats a real good sign he was "OUT" .

Seth Petruzelli was supposed to fight Aaron Rosa, a light heavyweight from Texas you may not know, on the undercard of EliteXC “Heat” Saturday night in Sunrise, Fla. Instead Petruzelli found himself in the cage with Kimbo Slice, in a heavyweight fight, in the main event, on CBS.
A 28-year-old from Fort Myers, Fla., Petruzelli accepted the matchup after Slice’s scheduled opponent, Ken Shamrock, was cut over his left eye during a light workout and medically disqualified some time before the fight. The notice was outrageously short for Petruzelli, and the win over Slice that resulted was outrageously huge.
Of course no shortage of mixed martial arts enthusiasts would have said beforehand that Petruzelli is a tougher opponent for Slice than Shamrock. Those same fans would have noted, however, that the capable Petruzelli would not be fighting Slice -- EliteXC’s unproven superstar.
Well, Petruzelli fought Slice on Saturday, and he beat him.

A dazed Kimbo Slice tries
to double-leg referee
Troy Waugh.
The fight lasted 14 seconds. Slice backed Petruzelli into the cage, and Petruzelli threw a push kick that he followed with a short right hand. That short punch -- the biggest, no doubt, of Petruzelli’s life -- clipped Slice on the jaw and dropped him on his face.
Petruzelli kept punching on the ground while Slice rolled to his back in an effort to recover. Slice could not collect himself under Petruzelli’s continued attack, and referee Troy Waugh stopped the bout.
The pink-and-black-haired Petruzelli then got to his feet and slung his mouthpiece into the crowd while wearing an expression on his face that suggested he was as shocked as anyone.
Meanwhile EliteXC’s prized possession, beaten for the first time as a professional, was dazed and trying to grapple with the referee.

Going after the ref is usually a sign you have no clue whats going on .
“It was a crappy situation for both of us,” said Petruzelli, who added that the last-minute changes had probably affected him and Slice.
Indeed, according to CBS, Slice accepted the fight less than an hour before the main card kicked off. It was a risky move against an experienced opponent, a decision that could be subjected to the same kind of criticism that Slice's skills will undoubtedly face for the foreseeable future.
Petruzelli, for his part, called the fight a chance “to get his name back out there.” Considered by some to have been a prospect who failed to live up to his potential, Petruzelli made good on that opportunity by forever tying his name to a victory over one of the most popular fighters in MMA.
Despite the loss, Slice thanked his opponent for taking the fight on short notice. He didn’t stick around for commentator Gus Johnson’s postfight questions, though the questions will still be asked in one forum or another.
“Kimbo Slice,” said Johnson as Slice exited the cage, “we do not know what’s next for him.”

Oh yeah what a great night of fights, I was lovin it.
I am so glad kimbo got his bell rung, he thinks he is untouchable. Petruzelli looked a little scared at first when kimbo rushed him, but it was obvious that his SKILL took over with the front kick to keep kimbo off him, than the hit that dropped kimbo was evident that skill is somthing kimbo does not have.

You know it is bad when a fight lasts 14 seconds and you think the ref should have stopped it earlier.

I disagree. Ref stopped it like he should have. He waited before jumping in and had he not Bimbo would have had much more than the cut over his eye. Finally Bimbo faces a top notch MMA'r and look what happens. He is all hype.

fight was stop properly. kimbo is not a mma fighter, hes a back yard fighter. he has little idea of what mma is. iam glad he got knock out. shows him for what he really is. he thought he was bad ass, he doesnt belong in mma.
as for ken shamrock being DQ for a cut over his eye before the fight
.
nothing hotter then two hot chicks fighting. huh??

Yeah "sissy slaps" can kill people. Ever watched Pan crase? Shots to the liver and kidneys can kill you, even "open hand, sissy slaps" because closed fists were prohibited in Pan crase and people still got MESSED UP. I'm sure El Guapo here can vouch for Bas Ruten, he was and still is no slouch.

I personally think that Kimbo could do better but he needs some more experience in MMA. He has been doing bare knuckle fighting for years now. He is very strong but not as skilled as he should be. There are many fighters that get knocked out quickly, ones who are better probably than Kimbo. I don't see anything wrong with him training some more and getting some more skills and getting back out there and fighting in some more bouts. I like people who work as hard as he has to make it in the big time and earn some money to support their family. I hope he fights some more and wins.

Pan crase is some serious rough stuff . There is talk that it will be allowed as an olympic sport in the near future . Yes Bas Ruten is one bad dude . open handed strikes when done properly deliver just as much if not more power . Instead of striking with the knuckles that are smaller and more pron to break . You strike with the bones in the wrist that are a lot more solid and have less give .This also allows a few extra inches of travel before the strike is made.
Getting Kicked/punched in the liver or the kidneys is no joke. I would rather take a shot to manland . That you can shake off after an hour or so but bruise your liver/kidneys and your going to feel it for weeks .

I wouldn't say a bust or a joke... I was disappointed... not because of the loss, but the way of the lost... he got hit with a perfect punch... thats it... this could happen to anyone... even Anderson Silva can be caught...
So I'd like to see him again... no one is undefeated in MMA...

Chuck Liddell has been knocked out by both Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans .
I was standing in the couch yelling and self high fiving when Rampage knocked Liddell out .

Ken Shamrock was right. He said he'd expose kimbo for a what a fraud he is. Too bad he wasn't the one to do it lol. A no-name guy took out the overlyhyped kimbo with a freakin' jab lol. The ref had to stop the fight. He was laid out not even protecting himself. Imagine what a real MMA fighter like Arlovski would do to kimbo.

I don't think you can make a good judgement on a fight that quick.. he just got caught... could happen to anyone... it was just a perfect punch. ...
