Member name is doodle1800 - not `1900. I made doodle1900 temporarily, hopefully.

What is it saying when you try to post on that account?

He is already logged into his account. It just will not let him reply or make a new thread.
I don't think you can post until you reply to the email sent to your email address. If you have the wrong address in your profile you won't get the email.

He has been a long standing member since 2002 who was able to post previously though. The account just stopped allowing him to make posts.

I just changed it again to my wife's email and received no email for confirmation there either.
I wonder if its trying to email my old address? - which doesn't exist.

fixed - I put my work email and it asked for confirmation. It didn't like my comcast account? Something must have blocked it.
delete this thread if needed or wanted.

I recommend leaving this thread. It could help someone else that can read, but not post.
I'm glad we got it figured out. The confirmation email is probably in your Bulk or spam folder of your comcast account.
