Ive had the aquarium for three day now! I'm waiting till next week to get my test kits along with 15lbs of live rock! But for now I can test salinity and temperature, so here are the past three days!
Day 1 Salinity: 1.024 Temp: 78
Day 2 Salinity: 1.023 Temp: 80
Day 3 Salinity: 1.022 Temp: 80
I've lowered the salinity by adding fresh water.
I've also added a small heater to raise the temp for night time.
Any questions or comments? Thank, Landen Gerlinger

I'm not sure but I think the Salinity a REEF tank should be around 1.25 and 1.26. Are you trying to grow a reef next month? I have a 29 galloon Bio Cube and thats where i keep mine.

Oh, ok, you would know better than me! I'll add some salt right now, it will be a FOWLER for a while though, and then I will start adding corals and such when I become more advanced at this wonderful hobbie, it won't hert to start early, thanks!

Is it normal for the colection cup on my BioCube skimmer to fill up in 24 hours? Ive tried ajusting the amount of air and it seems to collect nothing then! Does it need to break in? And also do I need to by a new wooden airstone monthly, and how much do they cost? Sorry for all the questions, it's just that i'm getting live rock next week!
For high quality liveock, is six dollars normal per pound, thanks Landen Gerlinger
p.s. I'm already addicted! $ = gone

Just a few more q's. Should my colection cup fill up in 24 hours? And should I be testing salinity and temperature daily, because I do, and for 5 days now no change has occured between eather, well my temp went up to 81 but oh well. Also someone has mentioned that I only need to test once monthly, is this right? On my freshwater I test Weekly. And finnaly, are Instant Ocean test kits any good?
Thanks, Landen Gerlinger
