Need some recommendations on led lighting for 115 gallon tank size 48w x 18d x 31h. Tank will be fish only with fake coral.

Do you ever plan on going reef (real corals)? If not, then just get a cheapo fixture from ebay.

Maybe later but not now. My main concern is the depth of my tank which is 31 inches. I need a light that will reach the bottom. I was thinking of getting 2 - 48 inch stips of led's...one white/blue for daytime, and one blue for night, but not sure what brand to go with. Would this work
Please do not post links to competitors (MEOWZER)

You would need at least 2 to start off for ample coverage. When you are ready for corals, you would need at least one more. These lights would be suitable for growing any type of coral.

I wouldn't go for that fixture. The optics are 120* and that would require you to hang the fixture pretty high to get even coverage. This would dramatically cut down on the par. Also, I don't think you would get more than 3 years out of the fixture, since there are no fans. LED's still produce heat and without fans the heat over time prematurely kills the LED's.
