Lighting for 29 Gal

Ok well got a 20 gal tank for free from a friend well I grew out of that tank quickly so I'm moving on up to my next size take I have available My 29 gal freshwater set up. About the only thing I can save from freshwater is my heater and salt water filter is rated to handle up to 40 gal so what I need is lighting. I'm looking for something that would do well for all the lower to medium light requirement corals. This is in my living room so I'm not looking for something that's going to put a lot of light pollution to the rest of the room. The biggest thing is I live in Fresno Ca it get hot here over summer so I don't need to add a lot of heat. If your not from around here picture 3 months of low humidity with temps over 105. I dont want to skimp on this but im a college student and I want to do it right for the cheapest I can.

VHO or T5's is your best bet, but do you have a canopy or glass top, etc etc...but for the corals you want and the size of the tank. the two lighting systems i recommended would do best and for a very good price...

You mentioned VHO or T5s I've read some other posts and how many tubes would you recommend I've seen some people who say you need a lot of tubes and some who say few what would be a good number to you.
been looking at lights online and went to e b a y what do you think of these lights or is this just too much for my needs on e b a y there only 179 for this whole set up I've seen t5s for 99 for a set up with one tube and I'm sure id need more then one i would add the link but few of the words in link are baned for the board

Is you 29G 30" across? I just bought a Sundial T-5 HO for $208 NEW...and I love it already...My tank is still new (was a FW), so I have nothing but sand SW and rock in it so far...

NOT YET....LOL...I have had it since Friday...I am running only actinics cause It's a new tank....BUT I love the light it gives out
