lighting question

I currently have 2-36" twin tube fluorescent strip lights with aluminum reflectors. The blubs that are in there now are 30w, 9325ºK bulbs the tank is 125 gallons. I would like to get some lower light corals. Is it safe to change the blubs to a t-12 VHO fluorescent bulb. The fixtures say they will take a t-12 bulb, but not what the max wattage is. If this would work, what are some suggestions on the rating of bulb I should use.

No, you'll have to change the ballasts to put in a VHO.
The VHO bulb may actually start on that ballast but you won't be getting any more light and the bulb will fail fairly quickly.

VHOs require a differant type of ballast, they will not work in your current fixture.
