lighting?

i want to purchase a set of lights for my tank. can someone please advise me on the wattage i would need to keep all different types of corals. i dont want to cut any corners, i want to do it right.
tank is 65 gallons
36in long
18in wide
24in height

With a really good reflector like a Spyder you might be able to stretch a 250 or 400 watt MH across the three feet. Then supplement with a pair of VHO or PC Actinics (for looks).
Else maybe a pair of 175 or 250 watt MH.
You will then have enough light for anything IMO.
