Is 150 watt MH good enough for a 22 deep tank with (2) 65 watt Actinics, or do i have to get 250 watts for med type corals. Also what would be the differents in cost in power for MH over an T5 each month be. Does T5 look anything like MH?

150 would be fine for medium light corals in my opinion.

for anything less then 24 inches 150 watt is acceptible , mh lighting does cost more to run then t5 and generates much more heat, but i still prefure mh lighting

Thanks for all the info. I'm building a 54 corner reef and can't decide on the lights. A good t5 or MH? I like t5 because: 1.cheeper 2.less power 3. less heat. But like MH for its most natural bright look. Does anyone have any idea about the cost per month of running a 150 MH with (2) 65 watts actinic vs 4 or 6 T5's. Like $5 or like $25 more a month for the MH set up?

when i put in 1 250 watt mh my bill whent up between 7 and 10 dollars , but it all depends wher u live
