We wear makeup, fix our hair, and wear sexy cloths all for attention of the male..You are correct. We want to you to look, we want you to think we look really beautiful. .We want you to want to meet us, and like us, and desire us.

We don't want to be stalked, r a p e d, pinched, handled or cat called. We don’t want some idiot sticking out their tongues and act like they are doing something nasty to us. We don’t want to look your direction and see men acting stupid pumping their hips at us. The entire above mentioned are inappropriate adolescent behaviors that young women have had to put up with over the years.

We don’t like it, it won’t get you a date, and it makes you look like idiots. It FRIGHTENS us.

Were her pants too tight? Well so was my teenage daughter back in the day, and now my granddaughter, young women thinking they look good wear such inappropriate clothing. It still is NOT an invitation to be treated like that…Sorry..I stick to my first statement.

lol, there is an ever so slight difference between a cat call, and r a p e d... It doesn't even belong in the same sentence.

lol, I think I like Clinton Portis lol...
"You know, somebody got to spark her interest, or she's going to want somebody. I don't know what kind of woman won't, if you get to go and look at 53 men's [bodies]," Portis said. "I know you're doing a job, but at the same time, the same way I'm going to cut my eye if I see somebody worth talking to, I'm sure they do the same thing."

I'm getting tired of all the after the fact apologies. Obviously that is what they think then someone goes and twists their arms. And they go out and say sorry. I didn't mean it... (he later apologized for the "inappropriate" comments)

Flower, you have some valid points, but I will say, cat calling and being raped are not in the same league, not at all.
However, as a 26 year old attractive female, who does occasionally where jeans that are a little too tight, a shirt that's a little low cut, I would NEVER wear the things she wears into a men's locker room. I was stalked by a creepy old man during the beginning of my senior year in high school while I walked to and from school every day to the point where I ended up having a police escort to and from school, so for me to say she deserves the attention she got, says a lot.
She boasts that she is the sexiest sports caster in the game, she boasts about her looks, she poses half nude in pictures. And then a guy looks at her the wrong way or says a comment she deems inappropriate and she gets all up in arms? We're not talking about rape here, we're talking about an IDIOT who wore something inappropriate and unprofessional because she LIKES the attention and then complains when she gets the exact attention she set out for.
To me, that's just wrong. She sets a bad example, bottom line.

I think women should be allowed to go wherever they please and wear what they please without fear.......however, there has to be a degree of common sense involved. A person should be able to walk down the street without fear of being mugged too, but most people with half a brain do things to minimize the dangers that could be there. Being aware of your environment isn't a male/female thing, it's a survival thing.

I agree that there is a huge difference between some guy whistling and raping someone.

When you throw your sexuality out there as your "claim to fame" when people know very little of you otherwise don't be surprised when you become a sexual object. This does not give anyone the right to touch someone but any comments have to be expected.

Flower, love ya but wherever you live you need to move because it sounds like there are some real pigs!

I am a girl, I have boobs, I live in Florida and don't always wear a ton of clothes. I can't recall any man pumping their hips and acting the fool....honestly. I've been a tattoo artist for years (part time now) and have alot of ink which does draw alot of conversation but I don't feel violated, I put it out there. If I don't like it or am feeling bitchy and don't want to be messed with, I can choose to cover it.

Keep in mind, I am a professional person and conduct myself in a confident and professional manner. I'm not gushing that I'm sexy and should be judged not on my accomplishments but on my body. I think that's the difference.

This girl (I still think she's a man) doesn't claim to be a great newscaster but wants to be known as the sexiest one and agressively markets herself as such. Her "gimmick" bit her in the proverbial butt......wwwwaaaaaa.

Not if your checking to see if she was born a woman!!! One day, it's all going to come out and you guys will know that I was the first to point out what is obvious to me!

And nothing against transgenders, my good friends son was born a boy and is now a girl. Aside from retraining the brain to not refer to her as a him still, I'm a firm believer in whatever floats your boat as long as it doesn't inflict harm on another.

plus she has a little girls voice and no adams apple.

First, the neck, the way her head sits is mannish to me, second, I saw a series of photos a while back where she appeared to have a horizontal surgical scar in the area of "his" adams apple.

Second, like Deejeff pointed out along with several others, his boobs! They look like two hacky sacks stuck on a man's chest. I would say softballs because they are more the right size but I have never seen softballs that wonky (melons either now that I mention it).

I also like to vacation in different parts of Mexico and I swear they have some of the hottest transvestives ever! They are staggeringly beautiful. I know this because several of my traveling buddies, who I will not mention, have argued with me that they are women only to find out, luckily without any ugly mishaps that they are really men! The transgender surgery is becoming more common there and where there is demand, there are surgeons to fulfill that dream, then the more doctors the cheaper the surgery. However, if I was going to have "that" area operated on, I don't think I'd bargain shop!

I wonder if she was reporting from a women's professional basketball or soccer team locker room and the same thing happened if it would make the news?! Or maybe she wouldn't dress like that at all?

I will say ths and shut up...

Okay…I will agree a female has no business in a man’s locker room..Period. It should not be tolerated. Not only is she in there but her camera crew as well. A locker room is a private place and I think ALL reporters should wait until they come out.

Allot of young women have no clue how provocative they really are. In fact allot of young women suffer from low self esteem, that’s why they try for attention. (That’s just my opinion)

A young woman who dresses like that has no idea how men will react. Do they stop at cat calls, or nasty gestures..not always. I wouldn’t allow my daughter out of the house dressed like that from fear she would be attacked. She waited until she got to school one day and changed, the principle called me to come get her. Her skirt was so short you see her undies as she walked….I was shocked, she was 14 and looked 20.

Allot of times when a r a p e case is brought forth in court, the guys first response is “She asked for it” he goes on with how she was dressed, her coy look or her freedom of affection with other guys. No means NO, but they walk with a slap on the wrist non-the- less. You have to be a fellow like Ted Bundy before they lock you away.

Is such dress inappropriate? Absolutely. It does not excuse the crazy guy. We never know who the crazy is, so most of us don’t dress like that, and teach that to our daughters. If the normal intelligent young men will restrain themselves and act like they have some sense we will know then who the nuts are. Since there is no way to tell…a young woman has every right to say and object to that kind of behavior.

The cat calls and nasty gesture do belong in the same sentence with groping and r a p e because it is entirely possible the one led to the other. Most women are attacked by men they knew. In fact there has been instances where a sports fellow did exactly that. One I can think of off the top of my head was a boxer.

If I see a young woman I care about dress I that, I try and talk to her…Also if I see a young man act that way that I know, I talk to him too…two wrongs do not make a right.

So I have had my say, for what it’s worth. My sister was attacked and left for dead, she still has issues to tis day and we are in our 50s and is on medication. This is not the lighthearted issue you guys think it is. Yes, she poured herself into her jeans as well, as teens (we are 3 years apart, I was the oldest) we actually used a pair of pliers to zip up, laying flat on the bed...we thought we were beautiful.

This is not a girl walking innocently down the street. This is someone who dressed like a S L U T (yes, I said it) and went into a men's locker room. Have you ever seen her interviews? She frequently flirts with the sports professional that she's interviewing.

Ok, first, I am very sorry for your sister. My aunt was raped twice in her home, woken up from a dead sleep and raped in the place she felt safe, there are weirdos in the world, Rape has effected my family. I am not unsympathetic or callus.

However, there is a degree of truth the the old "she was asking for it" statement. If a woman is flirting and being provocative, essentially being a tease, then she has to kind of expect at some point she could come across a nutjob and it could end badly. This in no way excuses the nutjob, he should be killed in my opinion but it's her job to minimize her danger. No different than if I park in a dark area in the middle of the night, not pay attention to my surrounding and get my purse stolen on the way to my car. As humans there are certain things that we do to ensure our safety in all situations. It's why we wear seatbelts, life vests, use traffic signals, etc. Even though we may be confident in ourselves, it is often the other person you have to worry about. And no, I don't live my life in fear, I embrace life and am aware of what is going on around me.

This of course doesn't apply to women who are walking down the street and are grabbed, have something slipped into their drinks, home invasions, things like that and to be honest, usually rapists use stealth to get their victims so they certainly aren't catcalling and shouting. Most women who are raped are unaware until they are overpowered and yes a large percentage of rapes are committed by men the women know who use a false front to get close enough and wait for their moment or just go berserk so they don't fit that mo either.

Some men are pigs, sometimes it's done just to be funny. I hate to admit it because it seems childish but a friend is going through a very rough time and I took her out a week ago to cheer her up and we rode around catcalling at geeky guys and old men. I'd hate to think we scared anyone into thinking we were gateway rapists!

Back to the subject at hand........I think the point is being missed that this reporter is most likely doing this to gain publicity PERIOD. Her 15 minutes of slutdom were winding down so she is reinventing herself as the sexy victim. If you take a moment to review her career, she isn't exactly keeping her hands to herself in some of the interviews she has done. She had crossed lines herself and giggles through it all, apparently she didn't feel "she" was victimizing anyone. I hope some of the guys chests she has rubbed come forward and sue her for all she thinks she's worth.

And for the record, I still think she's a guy or used to be a guy so is that still sexual harassment, if so the NFL is in alot of trouble for those hiney smacks!

This is a very hard subject for me (r a pe) and I will not elaborate.....BUT you must remember, r ape is an act of violence...not an act of s ex....carried out by a sick deranged individual.....

this woman (man)..HAHA, was not physically assaulted.....she was not even touched......I do not know why r ape is even being brought up.......she was whistled at....cooed at/.....BIG DEAL......she had body parts hanging out for all to see....she wears jeans that leaves NOTHING to the imagination.....come on.....get real.....SO SOMEONE WHISTLED

I think if the NFL spends any amount of time on this....they are as dumb as I already think they are

There was a similar case a few months ago here in NY. A banker claimed that she was fired because she was too sexy. She claimed that she was sexually harassed, the whole nine. Come to find out that SHE was like a call girl or something and was just out to get her 15 minutes of fame. It's so sad that these women do this. It gives all women, especially attractive ones such a bad name and unwanted attention.
