hey joe,i woke up yesterday and my mantis tank was leaking at the bottom.i put him in the qt.he is doing ok just hanging in the pvc.i razored the tank and resiliconed.i just put water in it and giving it an hour to look for leaks.so hopefully put it back together in a couple hours.the mantis will have to reconstruct his home again.he had it nice the 3 inch pvc and a tunnel in the gravel he made so i expect him to be busy tomorrow.
Would love to seem some more pics when you mantis settles in

How much do you figure Lola has grown since you got her and is she approaching full grown size? She looks great, still got those beautiful colors!

hey joe,
mr.mantis just hid in the pvc yesterday.but today he has started his construction work.its really cool to watch him construct.the other cool thing about these guys is they arent shy so i can just watch him go.i found the leak when i was cutting the silicone out.looks like there was an air bubble in the silicone that finally let go.it isnt going to leak anymore.i double layered it this time

you have a great camera.yea these guys are very fast.i have been getting a bit more brave.i have been putting the krill in my fingers and putting it a few inches from mine.when he moves out of his cave i let it go and he grabs it.probably get smacked sooner or later.

I'm nto going to lie, Mantis scare the hell out of me...Lol. Their eyes creep me out, and the fact that they WILL attack you, just discourages me from wanting to get one.

As a quote from the movie Mrs. Doubtfire "Are they well behaved, or do they need a few light slams every now and then?" Lol.
