this might sound weird, but would a perc get bored or lonely in a nano by himself with nothing but some corals and a shrimp?
i dont know about getting 2 cuz of the small 6g size. and, if i do only get 1, can i add another in about 6 months when i move and get a bigger tank?
thanks :)

IMO two clowns in a 6 gallon would be pushing it. Since you are getting a bigger tank later on, why don't you go with a type of goby now and then get the pair with your bigger tank...

I don't believe there are any Black & White Perculas so I assume you're considering an Ocellaris Clownfish. They get slightly larger than Perculas and that 1/2" difference is enough to consider them too large to do well in a 6 gallon tank.
I'd suggest getting a True Percula or better yet get fish that are even smaller like a Barnacle Blenny, Clown Goby or Neon Goby.
FYI - I used to think I had a B&W Perc but I was wrong. Mine are Ocellaris.

i have seen a black and white percula at *********** aka drsfoster&smith.. it sounds like they come small and we have ocellaris in the 90g and theyve grown slowly... do you think 2 b/w are too much? theyd be there until june

You know, I asked the same thing. Will my baby ocellaris be lonely and depressed in a small 10 gal tank by himself? Well I answered that question myself and decided to move it to a 120 gal tank with other fish where it won't be 'lonely.' Guess what? Three days later it's gone. Missing, might be dead I don't know, but one thing for sure is he's gone. I lost him, so I say just leave it be. I think your fish is happy. Besides he has a shrimp to keep him company anyway.
Oh and about getting another clown, I would advise you not to. I know it's 50/50 but from my experience introducing a new clown to my 10 gal, a smaller one is a no no. The larger one, the one who's been in the tank for awhile just bullied the new guy and cornered him to sleep behind the power head. So either way, leave it be.

Hi Vince,
I have visited the site and asked a few fellow experts about it and the consensus is that they are Ocellaris. After being givin some direction by a breeder I came across this website http://www.tmc-ltd.co.uk/Hatchery/specieslist.asp
This is where the Clownfish from *********** came from and they are indeed... Ocellaris, regardless of what the *********** website says.
