Looking for some fishy gifts

Hi all! To start, I know nothing about fish - I'll just throw that out there. My dad has a tank at work and I would love to get him some new additions. Any recommendations? The tank is probably only about three feet long (in case that helps). He has some angel fish but I'm not sure what else. Any ideas of what might be a safe bet? Or should I just get him a gift certificate and call it a day?

he knows his tank best...get the certificate and this way he can pick out what he wants, and what's compatible with his tank

Yep, don't buy him any kind of livestock, he may be dissapointed because it doesnt work with his system.
I hate gift certificates becuase they are so imperssonal, but i beg for them now that I have a SW tank

I totally agree, you can't add suff to anothers fish tank...but give me a limit of cash and let me shop..I would love such a gift..get a nice card to announce the gift.

I think he will love a Gift Certificate. It's so exciting, picking out a new criiter for my tank, I used to think the same thing "imperssonal", funny thing....I just asked for a LFS gift certificate as a chritmas gift list item...chuckle.
