I have a lawnmower blenny & when he isn't out eating he can hide or blend in very well. Sometimes he will be in front of my face & I don't notice him. How long have you had it? Mine hid for a day or two at first.

The bi-color blennies like to hide in holes in the rock...and they blend in pretty good at that too..I have one So I can tell you this for sure....They also back into the holes and all that will stick out is there heads
It's probably just hiding....

Also do you have your tank covered? Blennies can and will jump. I currently have 2 Midas Blennies in one of our overflows and they've been there since last fall. Luckily they are doing fine and refuse to come out when we flush the overflow :(

You probably wont see your blenny the fist couple of days. Mine came out the third day and is happy to swim about my tank. They just take a little tie to get used to there surroundings.

Blennies are full of personality.
Like adding a new cat to your household, they may take a while to warm up. Till then, they hide.
In fact I got a new Siamese, she has been under the bathroom sink for 4 days now. No desire to eat or drink. Shell come out when shes ready. Same goes for your blenny.

Don't pull anything out of the tank looking for it. Just let things settle for a while. See what develops.

+1 to spankos post. my bicolor hides in the rocks and under the rocks, i'd be afraid to move much i wouldn't want to accidentally pinch him in the rocks.

I had the same problem as SpiderWoman!! My Bicolor made his way into my overflow....twice!! At least he came out both times I flushed it...

I wouldn't say that yet. He can get inside the rock so well that you can't see it. Have you checked around your tank to see if he jumped out? Do your snails and hermits hang around in a spot in a group?
