LOUD Sump! Please Help

Right now my tank is still full from the leak test because I am trying to find a way to silence the sump. The sound of the water falling into it and the sound of the pump dont bother me. However one overflow is pumping in too much water at once and its causing a very loud bubbling sound. Other than this the tank is very quiet. Is there a way to slow down the flow of this one overflow? The overflow on the otherside of the tank is perfect.

Well you can try raising the whole box until it has just a draining quiet sound, I had the same problem and all I did was place a foam in the middle till it raised the whole box.
And for the sump mine had a micro filter sock and i just put the hose from the overflow straight into the sock

I cant raise these overflows they are not HOB. I have an All-Glass tank with the standard Mega Flow system.

The pipes inside the overflow box is not the part making the noise. Its the area where the water first enters the sump. These pics might help show you what I am talking about.
This pic is of the right hand side overflow box. The water level seems to be too high for some reason.

This is the left hand side overflow box. The water level in this one is a lot lower and seems to be perfect.

Here is the part that is making the noise. And its not the waterfall sound thats bothering me. its making a very loud bubbling sound like boiling water. As you can see the water coming out the the tube on the right is a lot stronger than the one on the left. On the left tube you can still see the grate where the water comes out. The sound is coming from the tube on the right and that tube is connected to the overflow with the high water level.

If there is no way to fix this then what is the best and safest sound insulator I could use to block up the back of the stand?

Do you have a lot of slack and loops in the hose? That could lead to an occasional surge of water which would be loud.
I have heard of noise problems with AGA sumps before though.

There is slack in the tubing but no loops. If the only way to fix the noise it to cut the tubes then I will just try to insulate the stand

if you cut 4 inches off the top of the pvc so that the cut out in the pvc where i circled is gone.. thats where all the gurgling is comeing from!..the slack in the tubing is ok just try moving them around a bit or put a box under the flex hose or something.... thats what i did and noise is gone...

once you cut the top 4 inches from the pvc... cut it right at that first cut out where i circled then slide the pvc up from the sump and attach the flex tube..

I dont think I want to cut anything because I am surprised everything works as well as it does and I dont want to mess it up. I think I might just sound proof my stand. What is the most efficient sound insulation that is water proof and safe?

I tried tubeing like that before and it not only was much louder where the water came out, the flow was much more restricted than smooth walled PVC. I guess the water catching the inner ridges backs up and creats a restiction for a smooth flow. I was loosing about half the flow as smooth walled PVC or vinyl tubing.

I only have the tubing with the ridges leading into the sump so it really isnt effecting the flow too much. I have vinyl tubing pumping the water back into the tank.
