love at first sight or diaster

i just added 2 peppermint shrimp into my reef tank to take care of a couple aiptasia before they become a problem. My royal gramma got curious of what i put in my tank and went to investigate, he is now chillen by one of the shrimp with his mouth wide open.. Is the shrimp actually cleaning the inside of his mouth or trying to see if he can open his mouth wide enough to eat him lol

RGs are territorial they will posture with fins flared, and mouth gaping wide open this may be what your fish is doing. then again what do i know about RGs

Lol! Sounds like me with Diamd Gobies :-/. I don't know why I was obsessed with trying to keep one, but it still bothers me that I have zero luck with them.
Just curious, do you think it had anything to do wit your six line?
To the OP, RG's do this. They have Napolean syndrome.

One loss I do believe was due to the sixline. The others I just could not get out of QT I even started a thread and posted day by day updates from setting up the QT until the time I lost the fish. I don’t understand it but I have given up on trying to keep one sad thing is I really love the look and character of the RGs
