Low-Light Corals

I've been looking for corals that require very little light to thrive. So far I've only come up with the black sun coral and sun coral. Does anyone happen to know any more corals that I could put into a tank that has a low light set-up?
cheers!

Low light corals are deep water corals that do not require bright light to live. Many corals fit into this catagory. On many web sites and on other marine sites look for corals stating that flourescent lights are OK.
All polyps, many leather corals, mushrooms, some Brain corals just to name a few, do not require much light. A few anenome's are low light deep water as well, but most require medium to high light so make sure it states low light.
How much light do you have? When people say low, medium, high = each grade is in the eye of the beholder, means different things to different people.
Hope that helped

I have very lowlighting in my tank - two 22W flourecent hood lights. I dont have any corals, but was interested to find out if any corals can live under these light parameters. I've been very fortunite with my saltwater experence thus far. I have a 55 gallom tank thats been established for about 2 months now.

So 44 watts total, well I would not even call that very low lighting. My feeling is that it would not be enough to keep a mushroom bearly alive, but then again I have not tried with that low of lighting.
I take it that your lighting is NO flouresents, normal output? Could be that you don't even have the right spectrum.
What bulbs are they?

each bulb displays a rating of 4W-22W and are the stock lights that came with the 55 gallon tank. I'm still in the process of researching the lighting aspect to saltwater aquariums so all input is great. I did about a month of research on saltwater aquariums and fish before I even started the hobby, so I dont want anyone to think I'm about to drop a bunch of corals in this tank without making sure the set-up is correct :)
