LTA doesn't seem to be settling...

We got an LTA last wednesday. All it is doing is sitting in one corner of the tank. Is that normal? How long does it usually take for an anemone to settle? Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

More information required here.
How long has the tank been up?
What lighting do you have, Power Compact, T5, Metal halide?
What are you water parameters, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph?
Is the anemone attached to rock, cubstrate, glass, sitting in the corner or just kind of a loose blob there?
Are the tentacles reaching out?

First question you aren't going to like the answer to. My boyfriend is not a very patient person at all. Tank has been up for about 3 1/2 weeks. I am very aware that it is way too early, but all i can do now is try to make sure everything survives which so far it has. I feel like i've done nothing but search the internet and forums to get all the information i possibly can since him and his kids brought this home.
We have a red sea max so i'm pretty sure its the T5 lighting.
Salinity 1.023
Ammonia- 0
Nitrite- between 0.1-0.3
Nitrate- i honestly have no clue how to test this
Ph- 7.9
The LTA is not attached to anything. Just sitting on the live sand in the corner. Tentacles are out and he does eat the frozen krill i got from the LFS.
If you need to know anything else please ask. I can use all the information i can get. I just want everything to survive.

You do know that Nitrites are toxic..don't you? What else do you have in there?
You really should take the anemone back...

Doesn't matter if I like the answer or not really. And you already know that your tank is not ready for such a delicate animal. Take the anemone back to the fish store and try to get some credit for it. Your tank is too young and still in too much flux to keep it.
Just my opinion here, you can wait to see others also.

Our test kit says that as long as the nitrite level is 0.3 or below it is at a safe level.
In the tank currently:
A clown
Couple damsels
Royal Gramma
Sixline
CBS
Bubble coral which is doing great
Rock anemone also doing great
LTA

We have not had anything die yet. I want information on what i can do to help and make it survive, not criticism. Constructive criticism i can take...i'm just trying to do my best with the situation presented to me.

Spanko is telling you the truth not trying to bash you. If you keep the anemone it is going to die. the nitrite levels in the tank should be 0 before adding anything to the tank.

If you would prefer to listen to a "box" rather than an experienced hobbyist, then buy a book....You have not yet completed your cycle, yet you have loaded your tank with livestock...
This is your tank, and what you do with it is up to you...If you choose to keep what you have just be prepared that you may lose everything.

Constructive criticism is you have to slow down. All that live stock in a 3-1/2 week old tank is setting you up for a big time crash. The LTA will not make it and that is the cold hard facts. So if you can take it back that is your only option. Your nitrites need to be 0.
