I lurked, only because I had a Yahoo e-mail account and couldn't register. My mom gave me an e-mail address from one of her domains after a week or two of lurking.
A lot of people will say, why does my thread have 265 views but only 10 comments? -- I think a lot of that is those sneaky lurkers.

I lurked for a while, because I had a difficult time finding a forum that I liked and could visit everyday. I tried a few of the others first, but I was not very fond of the community and the way they treated their members.

I lurked for a few weeks. I read a thread where someone advised to read through at least 200 threads before diving in and starting in the hobby. So I followed that advise (I didnt actaully count the threads) and then ordered a tank and signed up here.
I joined right away so I could subscribe to the Giant Sponge thread.
That's hilarious. That thread was out of control.
