I'm not worried about them being aggressive I'm more worried about the accidental stinging of other fish.

I've had both Foxface and Pencil Streak. The spines are a worry but from my experience if you don't try to grab them they are perfectly safe. Just showing their spines is all most tank mates need to understand.
