That is pretty much it. Think about it, Manny, Griffy, and Pudge all traded in a 3 day period. Those are 3 first ballot hall of famers. Absolutely nuts, then texeria and CC too, this has been a buzy trade deadline!

This trade of quitter Manny might just be what saves Boston's season.
I dissagree, that is a huge loss. What does tick me off is that this guy has ALL this talent but is a big baby.

According to ESPN this morning alot of this trade had to do with his own teamates wanting him gone. They were tired of the distractions and his antics. He is now Torre's problem and I'm sure when Manny gets comfortable in LA the problems will start again. How can a guy make that much money and complain like a little girl?

Yeah he was the sideshow in boston, and yes, I don't double alot of people resented his attitude, (I wouldn't have put up with it) but the simple fact remains bay isn't near the player that manny is when manny is actually playing. And a BIG downgrade from the last time a Manny trade was seriously considered. Manny for Arod remember that?

I just hope everything works out for the Dodgers and the Sox. My team the LA Angels are on a good run right now and the Dodgers which are about 20 miles from me are my second team. So I am fortunate to root for both leauges.

Yeah, we are on a roll right now. Just swept the sox and hopefully do some real damage to the Yankee's. We spanked them pretty hard yesterday and hopefully we can keep it going. Tex as a new addition is awsome. His demeanor and attitute are great and 100% the opposite of Manny. Tex is gratefull to be here and we are gratefull to have him. He brings the one missing piece of the puzzle. He has also for some reason made all the rest of the guys step it up a notch or two. We will see, but it is very exciting in Anaheim right now.

Tex was fun to watch coming up. But he is gone to the dark side now. (former Rangers grounds keeper, and fan)

I love the Rangers to. My son has season tickets and when the Rangers come to town, I'm there. It is always a great series. Most all players in both leauges love Anaheim Stadium. Disney use to own the Angels and made the stadium a real experience.

I'd rather go to the chavez Ravine if I had the choice. It has a better "baseball" feel to it. When I went to Dodgers stadium, that was probably my favorite experience in a baseball stadium.

I guess I'm spoiled being able to go to either when I want to. Chavez has one thing I love though. Dodger Dogs. They are the best and you can afford them. Crap a family of 4 will cost no less than a couple hundred dollars once you add in tickets, food and a rally monkey. LOL, It's still fun and I hope these high paid guys don't ruin the baseball experience and make it affordable for only the elite. Almost all the Angel games are sold out and a field view seat that has a face value of 35-50 dollars are on stub-hub for 400+ a seat.

The Manny trade was painful for me as a D-Backs fan, this move puts L.A. on par with Arizona at worst, if not better.....Manny is a pain, a horrible fielder, base runner etc. But he is one of the top hitters of our time, and an even better clutch hitter. He has been doing this against AL pitching for his whole career, he should be licking his lips getting ready for the by far inferior (as a whole) NL.

We went to LAA on fathers day 01. When they were playing the dodgers. And sat in the outfield 1st row leaning over the bullpens. It was a great game, and LAA came back and won off a 3 run homer, the rally money stuck that night. It was a great game.
But when I send to dodgers stadium, I paid in 2001 12 bucks for field level tickets, before the game (this was michael young's debut) the usher flagged the guy down and said, this you man (just graduated hs) traveled all the way from Texas just to watch his r angers play. I ended up getting a few autographs and pictures with a few of the players. Later I caught a ball lobbed into the stands by Ruben Sierra, and they would even let you move down to sit on the front row aslong as we didn't mess or bother with anyone. The stadium itself is alot older, has some nostalgia that the new and "rebuild" LAA can't offer. That and about 4 dodger dogs later. I had a blast. Going there felt like what baseball used to be in the 60's. When O'malley ran the team.

Sorry Reefer, The dodgers will need superman not Manny to get past the first round in the playoffs. Arizona and San Diego will give the dodgers fits and being in the worst division in all of baseball if they should make it the NL East or Central will spank them hard. The dodgers have a lot of issues that Manny can't help with. I want the dodgers to win also, but reality is that the odds aren't in their favor.

I cant wait to see what Bay does in boston. I think he will be a great fit. I jsut hope he can play the monster as well as manny did. The only thing I dont like about this trade is the sox giving up Hansen and Moss too. Both had a lot of potential. I would have rather seen them give up Bucholtz
