Some kind of green hair algae?
Maybe? It looks exactly like blades of grass. It doesn't string out long and thin like hair algae though. The "blades" are short, maybe 1/8" long, and wide and it doesn't spread "grow" fast at all. It's not on the glass or substrate, only on two different rocks on opposite sides of the tank. It looks really cool I would just like to know if it is good or bad.

Would like to see a closeup picture.
Thanks for the reply Spanko!!!! (been waitn fer ya) I'll try to get a closer pic if my camera will cooperate. I didn't realise how difficult it can be to get a closeup pic
A little off topic, BUT what kind of anemone is that? Anemones usually do not like hard coral substrate, and it looks kinda bleached....could be the pics...

It's a Sebae and the pic really does make it look bleached doesn't it. It actually has a yellow hue to it and blueish-purple tips.

Nope, for me really need to see the branches close up.
Any tips on how to get a better pic? Or maybe I just need a better camera? It's a coolpix L16.
And YES meowzer when I upgrade to a bigger tank HAHAHA (very soon) I will definately go with much smaller substrate, but I don't like the very fine sand. I thought this substrate would "look cool" because of the shells and etc.. It looks a lot different in the tank than in the bag if ya know what I mean
I have thew same stuff in my tank for a long time and I have never gotten an ID on it yet. After awhile mine grows to about 3" long per blade. I would love to know what it is as well. Let me see if I can get a pic of mine.
This is the best picture that I could get. These pieces are older and longer but they started out like yours. I hope this helps with an ID. I guess my fish were feeling photogenic today.

Yours looks exactly like mine when it starts to grow. When It gets longer it pulls out like a clump of crab grass. I have not mowed the lawn lately
