funky old reef mud = useless/snake oil
coral vital ok for use when adding stressed/fragged coral to help recovery. not used as per label.
Combo Vital (mixture of spectra vital and black powder) = great for sustaining thriving poulations of pods and shrimp, dont know why but they love to eat it. also used far less than per labled instructions.
mostly I think the products are OK but definatly not for everyone. its hard to judge when to use or not use for a begginer who only knows what is on the label, they can lead to excess pollution that is impossible to test for. after one solid year of using the products as reccomended and watching the algae thrive off all the extra crap in the water, my new regiment of useing only when needed does not promote pollution and is a decent addition to my feeding when applied properly. but improper use can be detrimental. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
Thanks for everyones input it is much appreciated.
