Ok folks, iam moving my 20L to a 29. I currently have a maroon. My question is can they be kept in pairs. My thinking being when I move her, add a smaller male than. Thoughts?

I have two in my tank, two ***** stories that I go, it always keep two or more. Don't see any problem

its a possibility it will work, but i wouldnt do it.

It's possible but usually doesn't work. For whatever reason female Maroons seem to be very choosy. The best chance of success would be with a very small Mate.

Hmm, ive had my eye on a small one the last 3 wks. However I dont want to get the poor guy killed either. I have no option B if it doesnt work. My other tanks already have diff clowns

There all born male, the female in a pair is bigger. My occelrious (my spelling sucks) the female is double the size of the male. Yet when I bout them I purposely bout a small and slight bit bigger one. The smaller one is now the huge female lol. Idk how they choose
