Maxi jet users

Hi everyone. I just purchased 2 maxi jet 1200's to help with water flow around the bottom of the tank, I already have 2 on top but for the bottom ones what is the best way to get them to stay put and not come off? I know the suction cups won't last long but I don't know how else to mount them. I hang the other 2 on the top rim of tank with the clip like things that come with them, but this won't work for the bottom of the tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

I used to use 4 mj1200's. I always used the suction cups and never had any trouble with them at all. I did find that they stick better if you put the 2 on the top and the one on the bottom when mounting. I would clean mine about once a months including the cups and glasss where they were mounted.
I have seen some prettly slick homemade magnet mounts made out of mag cleaners but I would think that would be expensive to do. They would just glue half of the mag cleaner to the ph.

Google on Neodymium.
Find and purchase a pair of Axially Magnetized 3/4" X 1/8" Epoxy coated Neodymium magnets.
The epoxy is important, you don't want Nickel.
Superglue one magnet to the back of the Maxijet and glue a small felt pad to the other magnet.
Now you can place the powerhead anywhere you want against the glass and easily move it around when you need to with the felt padded magnet on the outside to hold it in place.

thanks for the input fbm. I don't really want to put the money into the mag-floats but I don't know. I used to use the suction cups but after a while they came off, maybe I should just use them and be more diligent with cleaning them and the glass behind them.

I took several factors into account and decided to go witht the tunze nanostreams and one big reason was because of the mount.
I wanted to wait for the koralia but I needed better flow now not when they came out.

Yeah, I would go with tunze but they cost more then I can afford right now.

Good question. I've only used it on 1/2" glass. It works fine. I'm not sure about 3/4".
The Magnets are about $1.50 apiece. Not a big investment.
If you can find a 1" X 1/4" thick Epoxy Neodymium that should definately work.

No problem....wwwkjmagnetics.com I could not find the exact size that
Bang Guy suggested so I got the 3/4" diameter by 3/8' thick; smaller ones were much less but I am tired of 'fishing' out the fallen pumps and seeing sand clouds in the display.........

Another option is to superglue the PH to one of those clear plastic wreath hangers that are sold in craft shops. They carry and adjustable one that is quite long. You can hang it off of the lip of the tank and adjust the PH to what every depth you would like it at, plus they are quite cheap.
