Maybe they don't love the annointed one everywhere...

Not in my neighborhood. The local newspaper reeks conservative views. The Editorial page comments are probably 5 to 1 in favor of the conservative opnions. They made the Doonesbury comic so small, you need a magnifying glass to read it, while Mallard Filmore is twice the size.
You only have 1 newspaper? No tv stations? No radio?
1 newspaper in your little village and you don't even like it. BTW "reeks" should be spelled wreaks. If you're going to try to belittle your only news outlet, you should use proper spelling.

My question is, why does it have to be 'us' vs. 'them'? What happened to We The People? Since Obama came into office , the sole mission of the Conservatives is to bash the guy at every opportunity. You refuse to listen to anything the guy has to offer. You blame the problems we have today solely on him, when he inherited a majority of the problems. You constantly complain and bash, but provide no solutions. I'm personally sick of partisan politics. You have some Republicans that don't even bother to read ANY bills proposed on the floor. They automatically hit the Ney button no matter what the issue is, because the Democrats have the majority vote, and it's pointless to vote on the issue. Why are they even there? Because they get a six-figure salary and perks galore for the rest of their life. Winning a Congressional seat is like winning the lottery.

My 'little village' is the 10th largest city in the nation (San Antonio). We haven't had two newspapers here in probably 15 years. The one we have now, The Express-News, has gotten so small, I'm amazed they still print it.

The problem is, you made no point. You throw out two YouTube snipets of Obama apparently being snubbed by foreign dignitaries. Then you go off on some tangent about how the major media outlets don't put Obama in a bad light as much as they did GW.
I think your finally understanding.

If it isn't about bashing Obama, then why the reference Obama as The Golden Boy and The Annointed One? If it's about media bias, why did you name the thread, "Maybe they don't love the annointed one everywhere... ". Where does that statement imply the topic is about media bias? Like I said, in case you can't read, OBAMA HASN'T BEEN IN OFFICE LONG ENOUGH TO GET BASHED BY THE MEDIA. What point are you missing?

Did you say Golden "boy"??? Kinda racist perhaps. I know I didn't say that so get it right.
Obama has been in office plenty long enough. Crazy. Hey, the Hale Bob comet is coming back around soon.

This is the kind of talk that's gonna get this thread turned into a 5 page political war, then locked up...
Everybody posting is keeping it nice and light. Nobody mentions their political views except you!
Let it go. geez!
GG was making a point, and he did. I have seen posted on here that msnbc is biased. I don't watch news so I don't know... But the comment never turns into party bash... Mind you, it may have stemed from one, but but the comment in and of itself is simply observation...
Your connecting dots that aren't meant to be connected and starting one sided arguments.
Nobody here in this thread is arguing with anything your saying. We got it, you love Obama...
Now let it go and admit, for the sake of this post, that our media in general, especially lately, is democratic biased. That's it... that's the conclusion the rest of us are drawing and we all are getting along fine...

You might wanna do a little research about positive vs negative reporting in the media. Obus has gotten way more positive press at this point than even Bill Clinton did.

George Mason University has a study out there showing Fox does the most balanced report on D vs R.

And can I just mention, without a fight, that I don't consider Letterman, the tonight show, rush limbaugh, The daily show, OR Hannity to be "news"...
They interview "stars", and gossip, and rant and rave but none of them would I consider news.
Don't get me wrong, some of them report news clips, but only as a platform to fuel their political outrage.

You get all high and mighty with the "why does it have to be us vs them" and then go right into the behavior you are complaining about.
I seem to remember it being the Democrats who were using the phrase dead on arrival for bills Bush wanted passed. Would have been a little difficult for them to have read it when they proclaimed it's defeat before it was even in it's final form.
Obama is running around pushing health care reform and the fool doesn't even know whats in the Bill. He got nailed on that when someone asked him if it was true the bill would prohibit private insurance companies from issuing new policies. Still waiting for a explanation on that one but could you imagine the crap Bush would have taken if he would have said something like "I don't know" when asked about a bill he was on the stump promoting. Remember during the debate how the media attacked him when he couldn't come up with a mistake he had made he would like a re do on?
Yeah, no liberal bias in the media

I think that is something people don't grasp about Limbaugh. The guy is more about political satire than being a news source, Daily show is the same thing. When I am in the car I will listen to him but I also listened to some of the shows on Air America. If I don't take the stuff I read in the local paper at face value why would I believe something someone who is basically an entertainer seriously, Except for Penn and Gillette, I love their BS show,

Searching online, I found no less than 32 news outlets for San Antonio. You accuse one of being conservative. By your own account, the media seems to be biased in your area, but not toward the conservative side as you would have us believe.

32 news outlets in San Antonio? Where, San Antonio, Minnesota? We have one valid newspaper, the San Antonio Express-News. We have four TV stations, ABC, NBC, CBS, and a FOX affiliate. Five if you count the PBS station. Mysa.com is nothing more than the online Express-News site. Any other 'news outlets' you found are nothing more than local bloggers with nothing better to do with ther time, or community newspapers that write 'fluff pieces' about what's happening in their little subdivision of San Antonio. I've lived in San Antonio for 28 years now. I think I know a little more about what 'news outlets' there are here, and what direction most of them 'lean'.

So you called him Golden Guy to be politically correct? What a hypocrite. Do you even know where the nickname Golden Boy came from?
Six months in office, and that's long enough to get bashed by the media.
I guess my question is, which media outlets do you feel are biased? I watch the major network news all the time - ABC, NBC, and CBS. They all pretty much report the same national news as it comes out. I don't see any of those three reporting on Obama any different than they reported on Bush, Clinton or any other past President. I take no credance in any of the cable news network outlets. Those are literally biased in one direction or another. That's why I flip right past them, regardless if they are pro-left or pro-right. Maybe that's your problem. You rely on news stations that don't do what they're intended to do, report the news. They take excerpts from actual news stories, then throw their little 'spin' on it. That's not news. That sensationalism, and nothing more than these stupid 'Entertainment' shows you see after the national news is over.

The purpose of either Republicans or Democrats is to get one up on the other. No matter what the other side says, or does, its always WRONG. Unfortunately, many Americans seem to think they need to support "their party" the same way they support their favorite football team.
Too bad no one can just think for themselves and not lap up the propaganda and cute little cutting phrases their favorite commentator shoots off about. Whether it is news sources or talk radio, all have their own agenda. Listen, but think for yourself and quite spouting off someone else's childish propaganda. It just sounds like you all are lead by the Piped Piper. And you do remember what happened to all the followers in that fairy tale , right?
