A lot of people have said she looks like a panda or a pot bellied pig. Everything but a dog. That's ok. I still love her.

Thanks! I can't wait for my husband to see her. Looks like I may have to change my way of surprising him. He may be home before I even go get her next week! If that's the case I'm telling him I planned a little roadtrip for the two of us and take him to the breeders to pick her up.

If plans change (happens a lot with the military), then I'll pick her up and he can come home and see her.

my wife had her akita when i met her.the akita whos name is kia is now almost 14 yrs old.kinda half deaf and blind but other than that still in good health.tell ya one thing they dont take any cr*p from other dogs.kia once took on a bitbull and it was a draw.very smart dog.very protective of the house also.

Kia is soo pretty. The more I read about them and hear from people that have experience with an akita makes me even more excited to get Keiko.
