NO, it's not dumb....you can either glue them or screw them on....we chose to screw them on, which is where the 400 S/S #4 screws and the nylon washers come into play

and so do all of the LEDs as pictured have their own wires? How will you screw them into the heatsink (through the metal)? How does the heatsink disperse the heat?

That's ok...that is what this build thread is for...LOL
The leds will be screwed into the heatsink.....and I really am not sure about the heat dispersment process LOL
there will be 4 fans

Thanks for answering my questions.. I just plan to do something like this, one day, one day.... LOL... but I really appreciate it... I'm trying to learn as much as possible with this to increase my knowledge of this stuff... I'm learning a lot!

They are sheet metal screws
LOOK...I will be honest with you...if not for my husband, Corey and Shawn....I WOULD NOT be doing this....heck...I'm not really LOL....just updating the thread and placing the orders...
My husband is doing all the physical work and figuring...as well as Corey and Shawns input on everything....they practically made up the list of required items for us

this is what he had listed to get from "Grainger" so it looks like 1/4"

I'll give Tom and Matt a call in the morning.....I was just over there place the other day delivering......The acrylic glue that was spec'd out wouldn't bond acrylic......
I have to say it's looking SWWWWEEEEETTTTTT!!!!!!!!

don't know the exact sizes yet though

Danny did say he was done until the Rapid order gets here.....SO he works Fri-Mon night....so probably nothing to happen till next week

Awesome. Tell Danny thanks for the measurements. I think the framework looks good. I assume he's planning to hang it from the two metal strips on the ends of the fixture?
