Metal Halides for a 12 gallon?

I finally decided to upgrade to mh. I don't mind having an open top. I was just wondering which fixture to get and how many watts.

I would go with a 150 sunpod, just make sure to acclimate your corals. you can do this with black porch screen. Remove a layer of screening every coupla days. Or if you go ull strength, then reduce the number of hours your lights are on.

wow mh on a 12, impressive...i cant even handle my 10 with an acrylic top and a 65watt pc..the water is evaporting soo flippin fast. buying all this distilled /ro-di water from wallmart is killin me.

Try Aquatraders dot com. They are the cheapest I could find for MHs

i dont have the sunpod.. but i wish i would of got the sunpod ..... but i do have a 150w on my jbj24gal i top off 1 times a day .....lol

That's my tank... frogspawn, zoos, mushrooms, GSP, clove polyps, daisy polyps, trumpet coral, bubble coral, and a cat eye. When I get my new light I will make this a zoo tank and add my current corals to my 30 gallon
