Well here is an update. I finished all the mods. I'm switched the chaeto into chamber 2 and the chemi-pure elite into chamber 3. When I put the sub light in, at night it would shine through into the display area. Didn't make me too happy. So I made another eggcrate condo and put the chaeto in it. Take a look......

Here are the chambers 1 and 2....

Here you see the chemi-pure elite and if you look closer into it, you will see a hose which I made a Y splitter nozzle thing....I don't know what too call it. You will see it better in the next pic. I basically got a T-connection from the maxi-jet 1200 and split it to that Y_connection in chamber 3 and the Hydor FLO in chamber 4. I did that cuz I wanted a better circulation in the tank. Here it is....

Wow, i gotta say im quite impressed and a bit envious. First, your mods came out great. I like how you took ideas of others and added your own flavor to it. I think it came out nice and i hope it works out for you. I'm equally impressed about your rock work. I think it has a great design to it and it is very aesthetically pleasing.
Also, i swear theres more room in the back chambers of the AP12 than the 24. Overall, pretty sweet dude. Grats!

Thanks alot. I'm acutually not done. I need one more mod to go. I need to block off the two lower entrances to chamber 1 as you can see in one of the side shots, so that the water can flo only through the top surface skimmer. Hopefully creating my cascading falls in the chambers the way its suppose to

Thanks, lol. I don't mind. If you need helpm let me know. More than glad to help as you helped me out. I would like to see if you can make a thread for your frags for sale. That way I can get an idea of what I might put in my tank

I forgot to say a mod that I did. The part that you put your return nozzles, that it sticks out a bit, I shaved it off so that the hydor flo wouldn't stick out so much. I wanted to put it flush against the back wall but was affraid it wouldn't spin....

you could leave it on for 24 hours. mine are left on for hours. but some people like to put it on once the daylights go off.

Nice tank Miami and nice mods...
Couple of questions since I'm in the process of doing something similar,
What kind of light is that that you used for the chaeto condo ?
And do you have any left-over eggcrate or where did you buy it and for how much??

Very nice. The only suggestion I would make is to get rid of the electrical tape and get a pc. of black plastic to put on top of the condo. Not sure what is in the tape or the glue on the tape but I don't think I would chance anything leeching into the tank.
