Michael Vick

I don't even know if a thread is worth talking about this smuck.............
BUT.......what do you consider an appropriate punishment for this behavior.
This guy must be bored of all his millions of dollars, to have a dog fighting arena set up AT HIS OWN HOUSE. Pretty smart guy, eh?!?!? Sure, he can pick apart a defense, and find an open receiver, and score some points....but gosh darnit, the man is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Just another simple example of how "professional" football and basketball players get paid WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY toooooooo much money for what they do. There is no love for their game.

I dont know about a good punishment, but to me Vick is old news as a player. He's had a couple years now to show his skill and develope as a passing QB and I havent been impressed. Maybe its his receivers.... but whatever. I'm more interested in Vince Young. I think he'll Vick x2.
From what I hear when the federal government indictes you theres a 95% conviction rate so he better not pass up a deal. No pun intended. lol Heard that statistic from someone at work today, dont know if its true.

no one has said, nor does the indictment say that he is the one that killed the dogs in question or even that he was present. So slow down people - let the facts come out- It says that he is a conspirator that either knew about the activities or because it was his property he is guilty by association.

No doubt.. I would've had more respect for the guy if he'd set up Illegal/underground "Human" fight clubs.
Rylan, sorry dude but if this guy wasn't black would you be singing the same song? (not that race/color matters and lets not go there)But i just don't get see how you're sticking up for such a lame dude.. Even if he didn't watch it/do it, why allow it? i don't buy the Ignorance role playing..
If cops found a kilo of herb in my house, can i say that i'm holding it for you?

you guys are forgeting that its was not the house he lived in and from what i read today they are going to have a hard time proving he had been there in a long time. if it were a simple we can prove it easy case the state would have chagred him not the feds.

I can see the dog fighting thing. I don't "agree" with it, but I can see it... I mean, we watch lions fight to a death and find it interesting on the Discovery channel.
It was his means of executing the losers or the lame dogs that got my blood boiling! I read in the paper that he slammed one onto concrete, another he drowned, another he electrocuted. What kind of person does this?? That's friggin morbid.
As far as race, I didn't really even THINK about his color til some guy called into ESPN last night ranting about how they are only persuing this cause he's black.
See, that makes me mad also. What kind of person sticks up for another individual who can do stuff like that??!!
Sick.

Unless there is some new news out there that i have yet to see......They are not saying he personally killed the dogs. There are charging him as a conspirator. Saying that he had knowledge of what was going on. i wouldn't defend a person who killed a dog like that. But who is to say he had knowledge of that part of it, or any of it at all. That is still up to fed. prosecutors to prove. I have been charged before in crimes i did not commit. And i learned that to the public (family, work, and friends) that it really is guilty until proven innocent. And that is not right lost my job, lost friends over something that i did not do. sometimes the cops just have it wrong and innocent until proven guilty should be applied by more people than just the court.

Lions are a different story Tizz ... that's nature in control. You know, survival of the fittest thing. These poor animals were taught and forced to fight by these losers.

I don't remember what it ended up being. But no they did not even think it was green weed they thought it was black tar like substance or resin. The stuff that is left in the pipe. But it was not. I don't remeber what it was.

UM, yes they do have evidence that puts him on the scene. His name appears 50 times in the indictment. they also have witnesses that he personnely had $23,000 trade hands on a dog fight in which he lost. they also have video of the house, fights and him. thats how they found out about the whole dog thing in the first place.
