Salt Life, so we went through all of the investigation and suggestions and finally we came to the conclusion that you should move the output of the skimmer to stop the bubbles. This seemed to have worked until you opened the ball valve. Could this have been the actual root cause of the problem and moving the skimmer output to the other side of the fuge really did nothing to correct the problem?
I think at first my skimmer was the problem because it was blowing out alot of bubbles, yesterday I cut my plumbing to put in the ball valve to cut back the flow to the older 75g, the seal on the valve was leaking where I connected it and it made my tank a bubble storm, I siliconed both sides of the seal and the bubbles went down big time. my skimmer isn't blowing out as much bubbles either from the output tube since I've had more water flowing through the sump ( not sure if that is why but the skimmer is still working great, just no bubbles
)
