microbubbles from skimmer

I put a filter bag over the output of the skimmer to see if that would help once it gets a slime coat on the bag, my skimmer is next to my RP so all the bubbles from it get sucked into the pump and show up in both of my tanks, any suggestions to get rid of this? and I can't move the skimmer...
stupid bubbles.

Don't know if this could work...but for a little extra filtering I put a piece of eggcrate in the rp section, then I cut a piece of poly filter stuff and attached it to the eggcrate with clothespins (they were handy...lol) This way any water that goes back into thge dt has to go thru that filter...

can't move the RP it is all PVC'ed together and I don't have room to put it anywhere else in the sump, will the poly filter stop the bubbles?

wrap it around the tube and zip tie it on?
Yeah, don't they sell them to go around the intakes on HOB filters? What does your skimmers output look like, a tube, a flat water fall?

I don't know...just thought it might be worth a try. Maybe the water going thru the poly will make the bubble disipate some

LOL...I actually had a problem one time with a HOB skimmer and bubbles...I used exactly that type thing...I put a foam filter on the output of the skimmer...it worked too.

One of those foam pre-filter things....You already have one on the skimmer output? And you still have bubbles??

yes ma'am, maybe I should lower the foam so it is like 1/3 in the water so instead of it having to trickle off it just goes into the water?

NVM, I just checked and ike 2 inches of it is already under water, but right at the end when it hits the water I get bubbles.

Yeah...just keep trying things...something is bound to work

Let me know what works too. This way when someone else asks this question I can seem like I know what the heck I am talking about
