So is the skimmer output right next to the display return pump? Normally there would be some baffles between the two to get rid of the bubbles.

the RP is behind the skimmer, I didn't have room to add a bubble trap, I didn't think I was even going to be able to fit my skimmer so there is really no room to move anythin around...

mine goes right to left so my RP is closer to my other tank. The bubbles have seemed to calm down a bit and not as much is blowing in the tank, I have some filter pad laying around somewhere in my room, should I zip tie it to the bottom part of the output tube to break the bubbls up that are forming from hitting the water?
