My sun coral took a few days of convincing (minor). I would just shoot some PE Mysis it's way with a turkey baster and after a couple tries, it finally started eating. You can train them to know what time of day they'll be fed, mine know if the actinics are on, they're about to get fed. If they're puffy but no polyp extension, you should be able to entice them to eat.

Cool will try. Did not want to overfeed the tank, want the water to stay somewhat clean.

I think Sun Corals are beautiful, BUT I will not get one cause I just don;t think I have the time to devote to one :(

Well, I use the turkey baster in the 155 with my 15+ fish.
You might want to try mysis with tweezers to keep the food level under control.
BTW, I know people say you're supposed to feed these guys twice a day. I feed mine once a day if it's lucky, more likely it only gets a decent meal every 3rd day. The rest of the time, it's up to itself to catch some fish food at feeding time and it's not in a high flow area where it's going to get a ton.

I turned the pump off and fed it , it retracted a little and all the extra food the bi color snarfed up.
I was not going to get one but my wife is one of those people who walks into a lfs and says oooh I want that, well the sun coral was her victim.

Sounds like both my husband and I ... And we have way too many LFS's that are within 30 minutes of our house

Give it a couple days. They're terrible with acclimation. Mine was kept at a really crummy LFS in poor conditions and was starving when I got it, so I think I had it easier trying to get it to eat than most other people.
