Mike's 10g Nano Thread

Looking good Mike, the HOB filter seems to be putting out alot of flow.
Personal Note: My router isnt working so I cannot get onto Xbox Live. Whenever it gets fixed I will try to get back into the game. I dont think that I will be any good, but I have been playing GRAW2 and trying to get better at that. I seem to like it better.

Viva Pinata was a great game. Im not afraid to admit it haha. I played that thing so long, got like 700 something points out of it. Just traded it in the other day.
Mike, fill up that tank man. Probably losing alot of water through those lights. I know I need to add about 1/4 gallon top offs every 2 days.

I have way too many hours in that game (Viva.)
Tank looks hot, Mike! My lights still aren't here... I'm sweating it because my tank is almost done cycling... and I've gotta get more LR.

Finaly! I was wondering what happened to you!

The flow is a combo of a huge gph Topfin powerhead and a HOB Filter that is rated for 75g

whatever works right?
GRAW2 is fun, but none of my friends on Live besides you play it, plus I traded it in a while back. Good to hear you're alive.

Yeah I lost like .5 a gallon over the first day, but yet the tank temp is 72 degrees! I thought I wouldn't need a heater!

Are you a couple using swf.com? Because one post it's a girl talking about her boyfriend staying on XBOX Live all day, then the next post is someone going I love XBOX Live.

Haha... No it is just me (Julia, the girl in the picture...) I DO love Xbox live, unfortunately so does my boo. So we fight over the system/tv. We actually have 2 televisions set up so we can at least play 2 different systems at once...
I don't have a thread for my 10g... or my 72... or my 150g. I should make one for the 10g, but I am lazy. He (the tank is a he) is just as far along as yours- minus the lights. They better get here ASAP. I ordered 10 more pounds of LR today too... I'm eeexcited. (I only have like 8 pounds in it now.)

you guys dont forget that corals usually come attached to chunks of live rock, so leave room!

i have had to get my lfs to bust up peices because they are always so big.

Good point. But I think I'm going to be looking at SPS frags which come on frag plugs I believe. Now once I look for a cool zoa I'll move some rock back to my 20g.

beadebaserrrr, I would recommend getting all the LR before adding corals. I added some Lr, some corals, and then more LR. I want to rescape it so bad but cant because most of the pieces are settled onto the rock already and it would disrupt their flow too much to move em. PS, no you cant slap me.

And, I definitely wasn't going to add any corals or fish until I have my rock all the way I want... I did that with my 150g. I don't have any coral in there and it was STILL a pain.

Did some test today and here are the results:
SG: 1.015 low
Ph:a lil over 8.2
Nitrates: 0
And tomorrow I'm going to go to the lfs and look at some clams/shrimp/maybe some frags. I was thinkig about getting a perc clown, but I think I have too much water flow, and have had bad expierences with them because they're too whimpy lol.

My salt is a little too high... I need to fix that, but I will when I get my new LR.

Yea perculas, tank raised or not, always have some kind of problem. If I pictured my maroon in there, it would definitely be too small. I would say go for something unusual. Maybe a yasha goby and a pistol shrimp or something like that. Maybe even a b&w occie clown. If youre going to spend over 20$ on fish, IMO have em QT it for a 2 weeks for you if you can. Dont want to buy a dudd.
