I just rerread my own post and it sounds stupid
I guess I wanted to say was would you change the filter and lighting for a fish only tank. I probably wont get a seahorse for a nano tank If I sound stupid do not hesitate to tell me

For a FO the filter & lights that come with the mini-bow should be fine. I'd also put 1/2" of sand for the bottom. Water changes will be your primary water purification system.

For a fish only tank, the stock light will be fine.
As for the filter, it depends on what the stock filter is and how many fish you have. Most people upgrade the filter, but it depends on the bio-load of your specific tank, concerning the stocking list and the water quality. So once you have more information on what exactly you're putting in there and whatnot, it will be easier to tell. But with few fish and doing good water changes (esp with RO/DI water), your stock set-up should be fine.
And stop yelling
, the 'nano' forum doesn't get too much viewing.

I was just curious onthe tank size. There was LFS by me who has a 20H acrylic tank with sea horses in it as a display, but they are a tank raised type (which tend to do a lot better then wild). They had a protien skimmer/uv sterilizer/and small PH on it with some PC lighting (I don't remember the wattage) they had a variety of macro algaes and some small branchy pieces of LR. Anyway it was a really nice tank, and I was just wondering what size nano you were doing. I'd recommend a 10g or more if you wanted a sea horse.
*NOTE* I don't think the UV sterilizer was very necessary, it was a display tank and I think the UV was there for display purposes although it didn't hurt having one.

I really want something like 5 or 7.5 gallon tank to go in my daughters room. She likes looking at my tank so much I figured I get her one. I think I am going to go with a small goby a shrimp and maybe some small hermits and snails. Maybe some coral.

I was reading anarticle in a online magazine (not sure if I can mention it here so I wont), anyways, it was about the shrimp gobies and their symbiotic shrimp in a reef tank. It focused on one species (which isn't my personal fav.) but also made a point in mentioning that it was very similar for the othr species. It strongly recommended them for smaller tanks, because once they get used to the tank they are out alot and they never stray too far from their whole. I had once species a while ago (Stonogobiops nematodes) in a 5g and it did wonderfully. I don't have the shrimp though so I constucted a "cave dwelling" for it with a small 1/4" piece of hard tubing from my LFS, just corked off one end with a rubber cork. He liked it thought I would highly recommend the ship instead. The best shrimp (from what I understand) is Alpheus randalli but A. bellui is also a good option. HTH
